We are all aware of both Apple devices and their accessories have high-end design. You probably know the “+” and “-” are used to control the volume but do you know that groove located between these two buttons has certain functions as well.
Activate Siri:
Press and hold the groove when your earphone connected with iPhone 4s, Siri will be activated.
Take Picture:
Turn on the camera function on iPhone, you can take a picture by press “+” then. One thing you need to know is, the”+” button is not compatible with 3rd party application like Camera+, Instagram and etc.
Play/Pause Music or Video:
The default function that Apple gave this groove is to play/pause ongoing music or video.
Fast forward/Fast backward:
You need to click the groove double times to implement fast forward function and make sure the second time is long press. If you want to use fast backward, click the groove triple times and make sure the third time is long press.
Pick up/Hang off the call:
Click the groove so that all incoming call can be picked up. Click again and call will be hang off.
Reject a call:
Long press the “-” for 2 seconds and release it, two “beeps” informs you the incoming call have been rejected.
Call hold:
If you have another incoming call while you are chatting, click the groove to hold the call. Long press the groove for two seconds so that the first call will be disconnected.
